David J. Matlin

David J. Matlin is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of our organization, a position he has held since its inception. He is also the co-founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer of MatlinPatterson Global Advisers LLC, a firm known for its strategic investment approach. In addition to his leadership role, Mr. Matlin has served as the Chief Financial Officer and director of MTAC since September 2020. His extensive experience in the financial sector is complemented by his role as a member of our Board since August 2023, where he currently chairs the Audit Committee. Mr. Matlin's prolific career includes significant involvement in multiple Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs), underscoring his expertise and influence in the investment landscape.
